Making Safety Fundable: Behaviour Change at Trail-System Scale

Using the New Zealand Mountain Safety Council’s work as a case study, this presentation will show how incident data, behavioural insights, partnerships and ‘Plan My Walk’ are helping more people make safer decisions before and during outdoor adventures. The session will explore how measurable impact builds confidence among funders, partners and land managers, making safety not just a worthy aspiration, but a compelling and investable part of trail systems.
