Workshop:
Connecting Trail Design, Innovation and Experiential Learning
Described as a ‘Devilish Masterpiece’, The Argyle Ross Trail, is a challenging, 12-section, 100km swim-hike across the New Territories, utilizing extensive stream hiking, coasteering, and sea swimming. Conceived as Hong Kong’s ultimate water-based adventure, the Argyle Ross Trail has garnered significant international attention, drawing adventurers from around the world. More than just a demanding route, it is also engineered as a vehicle for design thinking and environmental stewardship through International College Hong Kong’s ‘Deep Learning’ programme. Participants will gain insight into how experiential learning can be used with innovation to connect local trails to their young communities to raise awareness of local and global environmental issues. Participants will be involved in a short design, model and 3D scan activity to design their own corals.
